Synopsis: When an unassuming young woman finds herself transported from the martial law state where she lives to the fractured Empire of Oz, her first order of business is to try and find a way home. Joined by a genetically created hyper-human, a cyborg with the soul of a man, and a human-lion hybrid, Dot finds herself pitted against fearsome foes and wicked tyrants in a fight to save the land of Oz and prove she's not just the silly little girl everybody takes her for.

A contemporary update to the classic children's tale "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" by L. Frank Baum, Legend of Oz is the story of an ordinary girl forced into extraordinary circumstances that will see her overthrow tyrants, restore hope to a nation, and become a legend for the ages.

News/Production Releases

January 2009: Valley Wind Productions greenlights unnamed Oz short to be shot in 2010. The short movie will look back at a critical moment of Dot's life; the death of her sister, Aly. Auditions to be held as part of our 2010 Generals in January.

December 2009: Production wrapped for 2009 with weather delays causing additional shooting days to be scheduled for spring 2010. We'll pick up some odds and ends at that time. See you when the snow breaks.
